Wales now has 11 clubs which play regular Rugby League football. Seven of the clubs, play in two difference conferences in the United Kingdom Rugby League conference, with North Wales Coasters looking to be a side that joins the competition in a few years time.

Wales also has three University sides, with UWIC, being the strongest, quiet often entering two sides in the Students tournaments, and dominating the SRL.
